Robert Hontz died of a drug overdose. The owners of a local pizzeria are collecting funds to provide a cemetery plot and headstone for the interment of Robert's ashes and and also to benefit the Sussex County CLEAR program, which assists people who are fighting drug addiction

Steven Freaney and Tim Deaver, owners of TJ's Pizzeria Cafes in Franklin and Sussex, have set up a GoFundMe to provide Robert J. Hontz with a cemetery plot and headstone and to benefit the Sussex County CLEAR Program. Donations can be made at

Freaney and Deaver have known John Hontz as a regular customer at their restaurant, and now as an ally in the battle against opiate addiction.

Donations to CLEAR can be made through TJ's Pizzeria Cafes located at 109 Route 23, Franklin and at 39 Loomis Ave., Sussex

Freaney said, "We believe that our county is under attack, and heroin is the weapon of mass destruction aimed at our very heart -- our youth. This was an epidemic created on a national level, but we must fend for ourselves."
